A place for your team: pennants and pins

Not every collection piece belongs in a wardrobe. Sometimes a team colour works best beside the books on a shelf, on a wall near a desk, or as one small detail on a bag. Pennants and pins let you keep that connection at a different scale.
A pennant gives colour a place
The Montreal Metros Felt Pennant combines royal blue and red with the team's fleur-de-lis crest. Its 8 by 17.7 inch shape is long enough to read as a deliberate feature without needing an entire wall. Measure the available space and consider the direction of the triangular shape before deciding where it will sit.
Leave a little clear space around it. A pennant can become harder to appreciate when it is crowded by several unrelated posters or objects. If Montreal is not your choice, the Boston Raiders and New York Admirals versions offer another team palette.
A pin is a more personal punctuation mark
The Boston Raiders Enamel Pin puts the cannon crest into a 1 by 1 inch metal design with black and gold soft enamel. Try one pin on a suitable fabric bag or jacket rather than filling the whole surface. Check the fabric and fastening first; a pin makes a hole, so choose a place you are happy to use.
Care depends on the material
The Metros pennant is polyester and calls for spot cleaning, with steam for wrinkles rather than a machine wash. The Boston pin should be wiped with a dry cloth and kept away from abrasive chemicals. They may share a team story, but they need different care.
